BIG NIGHT is Back and full of surprises!
Prosser, Washington September 14, 2013
An experience of a lifetime awaits you in Washington’s premier wine growing region. Last years vineyard dining extravaganza began with guests being transported via luxury motor coach while Italian Arias were being performed live. The ultimate destination – a 100 foot elaborately decorated table in the center of Kestrel’s 160 acre vineyard. A hot air balloon floated as a beacon above the ripe and rugged old vine vineyard and welcomed the excited patrons. Servers set chilled glasses of Viognier into their thirsty grasps. A sumptuous smoky scent lured them in to find Armandino Batali of famed Salumi Salami, and esteemed Chef Roy Breiman, of Cedarbrook Lodge slow roasting pig, goat, and lamb on open spits. As guests were ushered into otherworldly tents where tables were generously piled with delectable Antipasto platters, flash mob singers erupted into operatic crescendos. All of this is the inspired creation of Kestrel Vintner’s passionate General Manager, JJ Compeau. This years spectacular event is scheduled for September 14th and for the adventurous food and wine aficionados, it is THE event not to be missed!
Chef Jessica Smith of Kestrel Vintners and Armandino Batali have hand selected Pacific Northwest celebrity Chefs to participate in this year’s Mediterranean themed Big Night. The Chefs have selected one to two regions of the Mediterranean including Morocco, Sicily, Greece, Turkey, Southern France, Spain and Cyprus. Kestrel wines will be creatively paired and generously flowing. The evening begins with Antipasto and guests are seated among the vines, family style, to experience a multi-course unforgettable culinary adventure…not to mention the delightful surprise entertainment.
