"Dark, almost black cherry colored, this is an authoratative wine with concentrated layers of red and black fruits. It's thick through the midpalate, then swings into an interesting, minty, lifted, citrusy finish. Spicy and tart, with real meat on its bones." - PG

Co-Ferment Syrah

2003
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast - June 2006
"Dark, plummy and very spicy, this excellent wine shows the lifted streak of citrus that seems to characterize Yakima Valley Syrahs. Penetrating and deep, its compact fruits are loaded with interesting citrus/floral highlights, and hnts of exotic perfumes and powders. Long, seductive and exotic, finishing with a lick of ceiling wax." (PG)

2003
89 Points - Wine Enthusiast - June 2006
Good, solid, chunky aromas of berry and chocolate lead into ripe, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. The wine is loaded with creamy, milk chocolaty oak. Smooth and broad, it coats the palate. Though not a deep or textured effort, the fruit and smooth mouthfeel make for plenty of near-term enjoyment. There is just enough weight to give the impression of extra ripeness, a plus in this price range." - (PG)
Silver - Florida State Fair International Wine adn Grape Juice Competition

87 Points - Wine Spectator - June 31, 2006
"Firm, with black pepper, cherry and cedar aromas and flavors that linger on the chewy finish. Tightly wound, this needs time in the cellar to soften. Best after 2007. 1,704 cases made." (HS)

1999
88 Points- The Wine Enthusiast (12/15/04)
"Juicy and delicious, this is from the best vintage of the past decade, and it's just now opening up and showing its stuff. Ripe flavors of bright berries give it a zin-like attack but the back end is all Washington, with fleshy, chewy fruit and smoky tannins." (PG)
